HAVE YOU EVER HAD ONE OF THOSE WEEKS ? YOU KNOW THE ONES, WHERE EVERYTHING HAPPENS AT ONCE. WELL I HAVE HAD THREE OF THEM...IN A ROW ! THE WORST THING WAS WHEN MY SWEET MOM HURT HER BACK AND HAS BEEN IMMOBILE SINCE THE WEEKEND. PLEASE PRAY FOR HER.. SHE ALREADY HAS SO MANY HEALTH PROBLEMS. ONE THING ABOUT MY MOM...SHE ALWAYS HAS A SMILE ON HER FACE AND SOMETHING NICE TO SAY. WELL AFTER RUNNING LIKE A CHICKEN WITH HER HEAD CUT OFF TRYING TO REPLENISH THE SHOP AFTER THE SEVEN SPRINGS FESTIVAL, GOING TO LAKEWOOD 400 TO SEE THERESA & CRAIG SMITH AND THE 2 CHIPPY'S (GREAT TO FINALLY MEET YOU LULU) AND REALIZING TWO DAYS AGO THAT THE SHOP ACROSS THE STREET WAS HAVING CHRISTMAS OPEN HOUSE TONIGHT!!! AND THAT IT MIGHT BE A GOOD IDEA TO STAY OPEN LATE, I DECIDED TO CLOSE EARLY AND COME BACK LATER TO REOPEN FOR THE SALE.( I KNOW... RUN ON SENTENCES, BUT THIS IS HOW I TALK WHEN I GET EXCITED.) WELL I HAD PLANNED TO CLOSE AT 2:00 BUT PEOPLE KEPT COMING IN SO I STAYED. JUST AFTER I LOCKED THE DOORS AND PICKED UP MY PURSE TO LEAVE, SEVERAL LADIES CAME TO THE DOOR SO I RAN AND UNLOCKED THE DOOR AND INVITED THEM IN AND BOY AM I GLAD I DID. ONE OF THE LADIES MENTIONED TEXAS AND THAT SHE HAD BEEN AT THE SHOWS AND BOY DID THAT OPEN UP A CONVERSATION. WELL THE MORE WE TALKED THE MORE WE REALIZED THAT WE KNEW THE SAME PEOPLE AND I MENTIONED BLOGGING AND SHE SAID SHE HAD A BLOG THEN SHE SAID THE NAME...PINK ROSES!!! OH YES THE LOVELY AND TALENTED SUZANNE DUDA WAS IN MY SHOP. IT'S LIKE I KNEW HER BUT HAD NEVER MET HER. I READ HER BLOG EVERYDAY. WELL WHAT A WONDERFUL SURPRISE. I LOVE LOVE LOVE THIS WHOLE BLOG WORLD. YOU MEET THE NICEST PEOPLE THERE. SO GLAD TO MEET YOU SUZANNE... PLEASE COME BACK AGAIN SOON.

JUST MORE FALL DECORATING AND KEEPING BUSY CAUSE I DIDN'T GET TO GO TO TEXAS

A NEW LOOK FOR OLD THINGS
It's amazing how changing out a few accessories can give something a whole new look. Like jeans with a t-shirt and sneakers or those same jeans with a cashmere sweater, boots and pearls. WOW
I had the great pleasure of meeting Laurie, one of the 2 chippy's at lakewood 400. I knew her immediately from her blog ... which i read daily! These women got it goin on. I love their blog, i love their stuff even more. Chippy, rusty, peely, and loved through time. If you haven't read their blog...what the heck are you waiting on? Well we were busy in the shop on Saturday when low and behold i looked up and Laurie was coming to the door!!! I was soooo thrilled. What a treat. Well she shopped, took lots of pics, and posted them on her blog(thanks Laurie, I am honored) and before she left we talked...Texas ya'll...Round Top that is. Hope to see you in September!

Have you ever wondered what makes some people extraordinary? How they are able to take ordinary objects and make them into something spectacular. Well it was my great pleasure to meet Theresa & Craig Smith of Time Worn Interiors at Lakewood 400. They are two of the most extraordinary people i have ever met. (and the sweetest too). hello and welcome to my very first blog. i have been reading your blogs for months now and wishing i had a blog... well thanks to my wonderful daughter in law i am finally up and running. yeah!!! (and on her birthday no less). so here goes. i opened my shop in october 06 and since then we have built a loyal clientele from as far away as california for which i am so thankful. but the one question most often asked is do you have a website or a way to see all the new happenings at the shop.... well now we do. please take a look at the photos and if you have any questions please email me at prdmal@aol.com. now i would like to tell you a little about our shop. we have vintage items, antiques, vintage inspired items, wonderful refound jewelry and it's all french inspired, but the most important thing to remember about our shop is almost all the items are one of a kind finds. we bring in fresh inventory almost on a daily basis as i am a treasure hunting addict. so if you are in the area please stop in .
